The Problem Every Service Company Knows Too Well
If you run a pest control company, HVAC business, or installation crew, you know the drill. A customer calls in. Someone scribbles the address on a notepad or drops it into a spreadsheet. Then you have to figure out which tech is closest, text them the details, hope they show up on time, and manually calculate their pay at the end of the week.
It works - until it doesn't. Missed jobs, double-bookings, pay disputes, and zero visibility into where your team actually is. That's the reality for thousands of small service companies.
LeadRoute was built to fix all of that.
What LeadRoute Actually Does
LeadRoute is a field service management platform designed from the ground up for the trades. It replaces the patchwork of spreadsheets, group texts, and manual calculations with one clean dashboard.
Here's what it handles:
- Job Entry - Add jobs manually from phone calls using Quick Dispatch, or bulk import from spreadsheets. Either way, jobs land in one organized list.
- Smart Dispatching - Assign technicians with a single click. The Quick Dispatch bar lets dispatchers enter an address, pick a job type, assign a tech, and hit go - all in one row.
- Real-Time GPS Tracking - See exactly where your techs are on a live map. No more "where are you?" calls.
- Route Optimization - Jobs are grouped by region and optimized with Google Maps integration so your team drives less and works more.
- Automated Payouts - Set up payout rules by job type with lead tech and assistant splits. LeadRoute calculates everything automatically at the end of each week.
- Technician Portal - Your techs get their own mobile-friendly portal to view assignments, check in and out of jobs with GPS verification, and see their earnings.
Built for Real Industries
LeadRoute isn't a generic project management tool with a field service skin. It was built by talking to actual contractors, dispatchers, and technicians about their daily pain points.
The platform comes with industry templates for pest control, HVAC, and more - pre-configured with the job types, payout structures, and workflows each industry actually uses. Pick your industry when you sign up and you're ready to dispatch in minutes, not days.
The Tech Behind It
For the tech-curious, LeadRoute is built with Next.js 15, TypeScript, and Convex as the real-time backend. Authentication is handled by Better Auth with role-based access for admins, project managers, lead techs, and assistants. Payments integrate with Stripe, and mapping uses the Google Maps API.
The entire platform is multi-tenant, meaning each company gets their own isolated workspace with their own data, team, and settings.
What's Next
LeadRoute is live and actively being used. Upcoming features include automated SMS notifications for technicians, customer-facing job status pages, and deeper analytics for tracking team performance over time.
If you run a service company and you're tired of managing your team through spreadsheets and text messages, LeadRoute was built for you.
